Equipment

  • Food processor
  • mixing bowl
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment or wax paper
  • Microwave-safe bowls
  • Rolling pin (optional)

Ingredients

  • 38 Oreo cookies
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened to room temperature
  • 1 cup chocolate melting wafers or candy coating
  • 1 cup white chocolate melting wafers or candy coating
  • 1 cup Optional toppings melted chocolate, Oreo crumbs, sprinkles, crushed peppermint, or chopped nuts

Instructions

  • Place the Oreos in a food processor and pulse until they become fine crumbs. If you don’t have a food processor, you can put them in a sealed plastic bag and crush them with a rolling pin.
  • In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth (about 1 minute). Add the Oreo crumbs and mix until fully combined. The mixture will be thick and sticky.
  • Roll the mixture into small, bite-sized balls (about 1-inch in diameter) and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment or wax paper. Freeze the balls for 15 minutes to firm up.
  • In separate microwave-safe bowls, melt the chocolate and white chocolate wafers according to the package instructions. Stir until smooth.
  • Remove the Oreo balls from the freezer and dip them one at a time into the melted chocolate. Use a fork to lift each ball, letting the excess chocolate drip off. Place the dipped balls back onto the lined baking sheet.
  • While the chocolate is still wet, decorate the balls with your choice of toppings, like a drizzle of chocolate, sprinkles, or crushed Oreos.
  • Place the tray of Oreo balls in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to let the chocolate harden. Serve them chilled and enjoy!

Notes

For the best results, ensure the cream cheese is fully softened for easy mixing, and use high-quality melting wafers for smooth, even coverage.
