Ingredients

  • 1 lb salmon, boneless and skinless
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 3/4 teaspoon coarse kosher salt (or 1/2 teaspoon table salt)
  • 2–3 teaspoons avocado or olive oil

Instructions

  • Prep the Salmon: If your salmon has skin, remove it and cut the fish into 1-inch cubes. This allows for even cooking and ensures every piece is coated in the spice blend.
  • Season Generously: Combine all the spices and brown sugar in a small bowl. Toss the salmon cubes with the spice mixture and oil until evenly coated.
  • Air Fry: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F. Place the salmon pieces in the basket in a single layer, leaving a bit of space between them. Cook for 8 minutes for perfectly cooked, flaky salmon. For smaller chunks or a medium-rare texture, check at 7 minutes.
  • Serve and Enjoy: Transfer the salmon to a plate and dig in! The crispy bits on the edges are magic. This dish is amazing over rice, salad, or even straight out of the air fryer.
