Ingredients

  • 6 skinless, boneless chicken breasts
  • 1 ½ (1-ounce) packages dry onion soup mix
  • 1 (16-ounce) can jellied cranberry sauce
  • 1 cup French dressing

Instructions

  • Arrange the chicken breasts in a single layer in a 9x13-inch baking dish. It’s important they’re not overcrowded so they cook evenly.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the dry onion soup mix, jellied cranberry sauce, and French dressing until smooth. Pour the mixture evenly over the chicken, ensuring every piece is well-coated.
  • Cover the baking dish tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 8 hours. This step allows the flavors to meld and fully penetrate the chicken.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Remove the plastic wrap and cover the dish loosely with aluminum foil. Bake for 1 hour, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  • Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before plating. Spoon the thickened sauce over the chicken and enjoy!
